Being able to send messages using multiple channels is one of Zelo's core values. It lets a user receive information on its preferred medium and helps increase engagement for the distributed content.

Two Options

On the channel selection page, there are two different options:

  1. Let Zelo find and choose the individual recipient's preferred channel

  2. Select channel manually

1. Auto

This option uses each recipient's preferred channel based on the individual recipient's preferences.

Zelo will use the organization's default channel if a recipient has not set a preference. The organization's default channel is usually email.

2. Select channel manually

This option lets you specify the channel without considering the employees' preferences.

If a recipient is incompatible with the selected channel, Zelo will find another suitable channel for the user. An example of incompatibility is that you choose to send a message via SMS while you have several recipients without a phone number added.

Available Channels

The channels available in your settings depends on your subscription with Zelo. Zelo currently supports sending messages via:

  • Email

  • SMS

  • Slack

  • Microsoft Teams

  • Workplace Chat by Meta

  • WhatsApp (coming soon)

Contact support@zeloapp.com or use the Intercom messenger in the lower right corner, and we'll assist you as soon as possible.
